Alion® Herbicide
HerbicidesAlion is a pre-emergence herbicide for the control of broadleaved and grass weeds in apples, grapes and stonefruit.
Weeds compete for light, water and nutrients with your crop as well as being unsightly. With a single application applied to a clean herbicide strip, Alion prevent seedling weeds from germinating, and provides long-lasting (up to 6 months) pre-emergent control of a wide spectrum of the problematic weeds in apples and grapes, including glyphosate resistant ryegrass.

| Application Rate/Timing | Apples, Grapes and Stonefruit - Broadleaf and Grass weeds: Apply at 150 mL/ha in a water rate of 150 - 300 L/ha. Apply to bare soil free of significant plant material to ensure complete soil coverage. Do not apply Alion more than once per season. |
| Mixing | Always add Alion to spray tank and agitate well before adding knockdown products such as Roundup Ultra®MAX or glufosinate-ammonium. Refer to Alion Mixing guide in resources. |
| Withholding Period | Apples, Pears: 56 days / Grapes: 70 days / Stonefruits: 30 days / Leaf plucking in vineyards: Sheep that have been grazing or fed treated crops should be withheld from slaughter or sale for at least 6 months. |
