Serenade Prime

A ready to use formulation of the highly active QST 713 strain of Bacillus subtilis for the application to soil to improve bioavailability of soil resources for agricultural and horticultural crops.

In each container of Serenade Prime there is a guaranteed quantity of viable spores of the highly active QST 713 strain of Bacillus subtilis in an easy-to-use liquid suspension concentrate formulation.

After germination these beneficial bacteria live on plant root surfaces and in the soil around the plant root systems in a zone called the rhizosphere. In the rhizosphere, plants and bacteria can develop a mutually beneficial relationship under suitable conditions. When the interactions between the bacteria, the plants and the soil are balanced, both the plants and the bacterial populations in this zone function at a higher level as a result. When plants and beneficial bacteria are functioning in harmony in the rhizosphere, resources required for growth such as nutrients and water become more available through the mutually beneficial plant/bacteria relationship.

It is important to understand that it is only as a result of interactions within the rhizosphere that the benefit to plants becomes available. Serenade Prime does not directly provide improved plant growth – it is only when there is an active interface between soils, plant roots, the highly active strain QST 713 bacteria and some of the exudate biochemicals from the roots that benefits of higher functioning plants/crops becomes accessible.

Pack size : 10 L

Using Serenade Prime on vegetable crops, berries and other small fruits, row crops

Purpose: Improve the bioavailability of soil resources for agricultural and horticultural crops

Rate 5-7 L/ha

Plant hole drench at transplanting: Apply the selected volume of drench mixture in the planting hole. Mix with sufficient water to allow a consistent volume to be applied to each plant (eg; 50 mL of drench mixture per plant).

In-furrow application (direct sown): Apply as an in-furrow spray in the required amount of water per hectare for the crop at planting. Mount the spray nozzle so the spray is directed into the furrow just before the seeds or seed pieces are covered.

Drip irrigation: Apply product with the first irrigation after transplanting. Repeat applications may be made 21-28 days depending on crop and growth rate.

Using Serenade Prime on Tree Crops

Purpose: Improve the bioavailability of soil resources for agricultural and horticultural crops

Rate: 35-70 mL/tree

Drip or mirco-sprinkler irrigation or soil drench at root flush: Apply spray mixture to the surface of the soil at root flush (just prior to vegetative flush) through mirco sprinkler, drip irrigation or soil drench system. Apply a sufficient quantity of irrigation to reach the root zone. In high density plantings do not exceed 10 L/ha of Serenade Prime.
