Sekove Tinalevu
As the Regulatory Affairs Manager, Sekove brings over 22 years of extensive experience in the regulatory space, specializing in obtaining and maintaining approvals and registrations from the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) group.
His journey in regulatory affairs began at the EPA in New Zealand, where he spent seven years as a Hazardous Substance Advisor, focusing on toxicology. Following this, he served as a MRL and Toxicology Adviser for five years at ACVM, further honing his expertise in regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
Sekove is committed to navigating complex regulatory landscapes, which has allowed him to successfully lead significant projects. A notable achievement was his role as the regulatory lead for Iblon, a new cereal fungicide. Under his guidance, New Zealand became the first OECD country to register this innovative chemistry, marking a significant milestone in crop protection.
Finding immense satisfaction in bringing innovative crop protection products to market, Sekove says “I believe that enhancing agricultural sustainability is vital for ensuring farmers have access to safer and more effective solutions.” His dedication to primary industries stems from a deep appreciation for its role as the backbone of the economy, providing food security and economic stability.
