Equally crucial is controlling pests, diseases and weeds which not only reduce yields but can severely impact grape quality. Bayer Crop Science has an innovative range of crop protection products for use in grapes.

Even mild infections of problematic diseases like powdery mildew and botrytis are limiting for producing quality wines. Bayer Crop Science fungicides Luna Sensation, Teldor, Scala, Serenade Max and Impulse are highly effective for controlling these key diseases in grapes. Bayer insecticides Movento 100SC and Confidor provide solutions for controlling mealybugs in grapes which is crucial as they vector the debilitating grape leafroll virus (GLRV3).

Luna Sensation

Luna Sensation is a protectant and systemic fungicide for the control of powdery mildew in grapes, and brown rot in stonefruit.

Luna Sensation is a co-formulation of fluopyram and trifloxystrobin. Together these two active ingredients have synergistic activity to provide a new standard for powdery mildew control in grapes, and brown rot in stonefruit.

Teldor

Teldor is a proven, highly effective protectant contact fungicide providing targeted control of Botrytis cinerea in grapes, boysenberries, strawberries, lemons, oranges and mandarins.

Scala

Scala is a proven, highly effective fungicide for the control of Black spot in apples and botrytis in grapes.

Scala is transported through both translaminar and vapour activity, allowing it to penetrate plant tissue and protect the flowers and foliage.

Serenade Optimum

Serenade Optimum is a bio-fungicide/bactericide to aid in the control and suppression of powdery mildew and botrytis and sour rot in grapes, fireblight in pipfruit, botrytis on berryfruit, kiwifruit, persimmons and onions, and various diseases on avocados, citrus, lettuce and turf. Serenade Optimum is a new improved formulation to replace Serenade Max.

Serenade Optimum is a higher concentrated (2 x strength) formulation that is easier to use.

Alion

Alion is a pre-emergence herbicide for the control of broadleaved and grass weeds in apples, grapes and stonefruit.

Weeds compete for light, water and nutrients with your crop as well as being unsightly. With a single application applied to a clean herbicide strip, Alion prevent seedling weeds from germinating, and provides long-lasting (up to 6 months) pre-emergent control of a wide spectrum of the problematic weeds in apples and grapes, including glyphosate resistant ryegrass.

Confidor

Confidor is a highly effective systemic foliar insecticide for controlling sucking and piercing insects in onion, grapes, lettuce and vegetable brassica crops.

Confidor is the proven, accepted solution used by growers to ensure financial returns and crop profitability.

Impulse

Impulse is a systemic fungicide for the control of powdery mildew in grapes, barley and wheat. Impulse is highly systemic with protectant, curative and eradicant activity.

Movento 100 SC

Movento 100SC is a proven and highly effective solution for controlling a range of sucking pests in fruit crops, including:

• Armoured scales in Kiwifruit.
• Mealybug in Grapes.
• Apple leafcurling midge, woolly apple aphid and armoured scales in Apples.
• Kelly's citrus thrips, Australian citrus whitefly and armoured scales in Citrus.

Movento 100SC is unique in that it has two-way systemicity in plants. This means it moves both upwards and downwards and can therefore reach pests that cannot be directly targeted by spray coverage. Movento 100SC has fully researched and tested in-built adjuvants that optimise the uptake into plant leaves. Additional adjuvants are not required. Movento 100SC is compatible with IPM systems, being harmless or only slightly harmful to common beneficials.
